The US MVNO says the new application, available at no extra cost to specified subscribers, lets users edit profiles and integrates with Helio’s free media sharing service, Helio Album. This lets user send picture messages, comments and bulletins directly from the application.
Helio is not pulling up trees, but it appears to be surviving unlike Amp’d ESPN and other over-hyped MVNOs in the US. It recently bagged $100m in new funding from its co-owner SK Telecom.
This announcement further positions Helio as a leader in mobile social networking, following on fromthe launch of Helio’s two-click mobile video uploads with YouTube.
